May 2008 - Newsletter
In just a few days, we will be rejoicing in our 1st Anniversary in Mississippi. It is humbling to think about all that God has allowed us to be apart of. The finishing of a small church called "Freedom Christian Fellowship" is one of our biggest achievements. The Escatawpa church is small in congregation number, but large in faith. They welcomed us with love and friendship, and made us feel at home. Now that the construction (see pictures below) is finished and the dedication has passed, they are going out in the community sharing Christ with the those who are spirtually lost and the ones just lost all together from either homelessness or feeling forgotten by the world. The love this church shows truly comes from God. (Below are some before and after shots of the church.)

There are many other projects God has enabled us to complete. Through the help of many gracious and selfless volunteers, we have re-roofed homes, repaired cabinets, and rejuvenated floors. We've installed sheet rock, re-wired homes, and renewed people's lives here in Moss Point, MS. Through these projects, we have improved the quality of life for Katrina victims and in doing so, showed God's mercy and love to all.
Ms. Nina's home was completed in about six weeks. When we started the project, all we had was a little electrical wiring and a lot of prayers. God sent the rest of the materials we needed to renovated Ms Nina's dilapidated home. (See the before and after pictures below.)

Presently, we are working on the Evan's house. It's hard to believe that this family of five has been living in two FEMA trailers for nearly three years. But, soon, with the help of you fantastic volunteers, those cramped quarters will be a thing of the past. To date, we have installed central heat and air, insulation and sheetrock is up in the entire house, and the exterior is almost complete. Next we will be mudding and sanding the walls.
We still need some materials for this home, though. We need bathroom and kitchen cabinets, sinks, faucets, flooring, interior doors, and light fixtures. We also need volunteers to help with the labor. If you would like to help out in any way, please contact us today.
God is enabling us to help make real changes in people's lives down here in Mississippi. He's so inspiring us to make spiritual changes as well, and that's what this mission is all about. We would like to thank everyone who has supported our mission and ministry through prayers, materials, labor, and finances. Without your support, we would not be accomplishing any of this.
